About Us
Torrington is a startup company established in Colombo, Sri Lanka in 2020 by a group of passionate scientists and medical professionals who pioneered in introducing Next Generation Sequencing based diagnostics and analyses solutions to Sri Lanka.
It has already been proven that genomics is a promising field with wide range of applications in fields such as medical diagnostics and therapeutics, plant research and biotechnology, food security, and environmental sustainability. We believe that, if implemented early, genomics will be a critical factor in a country’s commitment to a healthier, safer, and more economically sustainable future.
Our vision is to bring the world closer to economically challenged countries by introducing innovative solutions to advance genomic research in academia, industry, and health care sectors.
